Durable moat. Quality management. Secular tailwinds. Discount to peers.

This is what every candidate learns to say. It's also what every candidate sounds like when they get passed over in an interview—not because they're wrong, but because they're not saying anything the market doesn't already know. The market knows the moat exists. It's priced in. The market has a view on management. Priced in. Discount to peers? Priced in. Most candidates fail buy-side interviews not because they're unprepared, but because they sound like bankers describing a company rather than investors predicting a mispricing.

After 15 years on the buy-side and 1,000+ pitches evaluated, Ryan J. Ross, CFA, has seen exactly where pitches break. This 90-minute masterclass covers the Alpha Framework:

The Thesis: What separates a book report from an investment thesis—and the variant perceptions that PMs actually want to hear
The 'Why' Model: Why your 47-tab model won't save you in an interview, and how to identify the 2-3 drivers that matter
The Catalyst & Bear Case: Why "eventually" isn't a catalyst and "macro risk" isn't a bear case—and how to answer both with precision
Live Case Study: A before/after teardown of a real pitch—same company, same data, different outcome
