Veteran angel investor, Forbes.com contributor, and prolific finance author Tom Taulli presents a comprehensive update on the IPO market—the IPO process, the standout IPOs, and probably most important for PMs and investment analysts—current and future investment trends in areas such as cloud computing, social networking, Big Data, alternative energy, and biotechnology. Mr. Taulli’s presentation will put us in a better position to dissect companies that are poised to prosper in today’s world of ever-changing business and marketing models. As an advisor to many Silicon Valley start-ups, Mr. Taulli’s presentation will also be filled with useful personal anecdotes! A short Q&A session will follow Mr. Taulli’s presentation.
Tom Taulli’s Biography:
On a regular basis, I talk to top tech CEOs and founders to find the next hot deal and discover which startups are stinkers. I’ve been following the markets since the mid-1990s when I started WebIPO. It was a place where investors got research as well as access to deals for the dot-com boom. From there, I started several other companies, such as Hypermart.net, which was sold to InfoSpace in 1999.
As of now, I write for publications like Forbes.com and the IPOPlaybook. I’m also the author of a variety of books like “All About Short Selling” (McGraw-Hill) and “High-Profit IPO Strategies: Finding Breakout IPOs for Investors and Traders” (Bloomberg Press).
