CFA Society Los Angeles’ Advocacy and Ethics Commission leads the Society’s Financial Literacy Initiative, connecting knowledgeable member volunteers with schools, universities, libraries, and community organizations to provide accessible financial education in person and online.

About the Initiative

Expanding Access to Financial Education

CFA Society Los Angeles' Financial Literacy Initiative is a community outreach program designed to further financial education and engagement across diverse communities.

CFALA member volunteers work with partner organizations to coordinate educational events for students, young adults and community members. Programming can be delivered in person or virtually.

Each program is designed to provide practical, approachable information that helps participants understand important financial concepts and make more informed financial decisions.

Neutral, expert volunteer presenters
Coordination and presentation of selected topics
Educational presentations and activities
Presentation materials and a presenter laptop
Presenters experienced with both in-person and virtual programming

Our Community Partner Provides

An audience and an in-person or virtual venue
Promotion of the program to participants
A projector, USB connection or videoconferencing link
A brief introduction of the presenter or presenters
Completion of a post-program survey
