This interactive workshop includes:

Preparing for the Interview

  • Research industry background – past and current trends

  • Understand company history and current challenges

  • Know the company culture: “Is this where I really want to work?” 

  • Define issues/experience that underscore your fit

During the Interview
  • Listen, to understand and create connection

  • Document industry knowledge, skills, and experience that parallel job slot

  • Ask probing questions that reflect intellectual depth and motivation for job

  • FOLLOW-UP – thank you notes (NOT email), postcards, relevant articles

  • Maintain regular contact to reinforce motivation, desire and commitment

  • Participate with your local CFA Society to demonstrate your leadership skills and industry acumen

This workshop will be led by led by Larry Ferguson, corporate trainer and former human resources director. Mr. Ferguson has led workshops for CFA Institute, NYSSA and CFA Societies in the northeast region.
