Attendance for this Roundtable event is limited to allow all participants to engage in active dialogue. Specifically, as an attendee, you will have the opportunity to engage in discussion with the speaker and other attendees to share insights on the event topic and develop deeper connections with your peers.

During this one hour event, with 30 minutes of presentation and 30 minutes of questions and answers, Ron Galperin, LA Controller, will discuss the City's finances, resources, and how it is responding to the COVID-19 crises. There will be datamaps and stories on topics such as expanded testing, meal delivery, small business support, updated 2020-2021 revenue forecast, job loss report, and the financial impact of COVID-19 on spending and reimbursement.

Ron Galperin | Los Angeles Controller Ron Galperin is the taxpayers’ watchdog at City Hall, making sure public dollars are spent efficiently and effectively. He is also the elected paymaster, auditor and chief accounting officer for the City of Los Angeles.

Galperin oversees a team that conducts independent audits, manages City payroll and spending, prepares financial reports, pursues fraud and waste, and works to create a more transparent and accountable city for everyone. His reports are improving street maintenance, arts funding, management of special funds, L.A.’s trees, emergency services and many other City functions. Back To Top ^^

Michael Treidl, CFA | Michael Treidl is a Director at Coryell Capital Management with experience in global macro strategy, investment research, and portfolio management.

Prior to joining Coryell Capital Management, Michael worked at Miracle Mile Advisors, Payden & Rygel, Capital Group and Morgan Stanley. He began his career working on the trading floor at Fannie Mae.

Michael is a member of CFA® Institute and CFA Society Los Angeles. He earned an MBA degree with an emphasis in Finance from the Crummer Graduate School of Business and a BS in Physics with a minor in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. Back To Top ^^
