The Intimate Chat Series is sponsored by CFA Society Los Angeles' Women’s Member Community. The event is designed to provide professional guidance to women, but all individuals are welcome to attend.

Erin Simpson | Erin Simpson is a managing director of Wilshire Associates and is the head of the Wilshire Funds Management operations and risk management group. Ms. Simpson is a voting member of the Wilshire Funds Management Investment Committee and has fifteen years of experience in risk management and portfolio construction within the alternative asset industry. Prior to joining Wilshire in 2013, Ms. Simpson performed risk analysis and designed and developed risk and reporting systems for Merrill Lynch’s Hedge Fund Development and Management Group (“HFDMG”). She then became the executive vice president of Risk Fundamentals, a risk transparency software company spun-out of Merrill’s HFDMG. Previously, Ms. Simpson worked as a risk analyst at Kenmar Global Investments.
Prior to entering the financial services industry, she spent three years with NASA specializing in space science and astronomical research at the Space Telescope Science Institute. Ms. Simpson received her BS in astrophysics from Yale University and her MS in information and telecommunication systems from Johns Hopkins University. Back To Top ^^
Watch the CFALA website and emails for future events in the “An Intimate Chat Series.” Each month the CFA Society Los Angeles’ Women’s Member Community will host an event in an intimate setting featuring a successful, engaging local woman who has an interesting story to tell and valuable advice to share. The events will rotate locations across the LA area and times will vary between lunch, early coffee and evenings to help accommodate our membership’s diverse locations and schedules.

Cancellations must be received in writing by 9:00 am the day prior to the event to receive a refund. No phone cancellations are accepted. Please fax to the CFALA office at (213) 613-1233 or e-mail info@cfala.org. Member “no-shows” will be billed the difference between the member fee and the non-member fee for the event which is posted on the CFALA website.
