Tim Kochis, CFP® | Tim Kochis is the former CEO and Chairman of Aspiriant, and author of Managing Concentrated Stock Wealth, (2nd Ed, Wiley, 2016) among other books. He led the wealth management practices at Bank of America and at Deloitte through the 1980’s before co-founding Kochis Fitz in 1991. He merged Kochis Fitz and Quintile to form Aspiriant in 2008, recognized as one of the industry’s most strategic RIA M&A transactions. Tim joined forces with DeVoe & Company, as a Special Advisor, in early 2017 to help build a comprehensive succession and continuity platform for the RIA industry.

Tim was also a co-founder of the Personal Financial Plannings Program at UC Berkeley, where he taught for 18 years. He has been very active within industry organizations, globally, having chaired the CFP Board (1995), the Foundation for Financial Planning (2004), and the international certification authority, the FPSB (2005).

Tim has an MBA from the University of Chicago, a JD from the University of Michigan, and a BA from Marquette University. Back To Top ^^

Meredith Johnson, CPA, CFP® | Meredith Johnson is a CPA and CFP® who serves as a Director with the Private Client Services group at BPM LLP. Meredith specializes in a holistic approach to taxation, particularly in the areas of equity based compensation and financial planning and analysis. Meredith excels in coordinating the needs of diverse stakeholders, managing multi-stage projects and synthesizing complex data.

Her specialties include financial planning, tax planning and compliance, project management, business strategy, financial modeling and analysis, employee training and development and public policy analysis and advocacy. She is a frequent conference speaker on equity based compensation planning and tax-efficient wealth transfer.

Meredith is the past president of the San Francisco chapter of CalCPA, Chair of the Women’s Leadership Forum, and the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the California Society of CPAs. She holds an undergraduate degree from Whitman College and a Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Back To Top ^^
