James Lewis, CFA, CIPM | James is a Managing Director at TCW Group. Prior to joining TCW in 1999, Mr. Lewis was a Quantitative Analyst for Loomis, Sayles & Company. Mr. Lewis received a BS in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from the University of Southern California. He is a CFA® charterholder, CIPM® certificant, and member of the CFA Institute. He is a past President of CFA Society of Los Angeles.

Alexander Tung, CFA | Alexander Tung, CFA, Associate, Fixed Income Trader at Payden & Rygel trading money market instruments for institutional accounts in order to provide attractive yield and short-term liquidity. His quantitative analytical skills help guide trading and liquidity activity for each client based on individual investment policy statements and guidelines as well as beneficial relative value in the current capital market environment. Prior to joining Payden & Rygel, Alexander Tung was an Associate with Bel Air Investment Advisors. Prior to joining Bel Air, Alexander was a Summer Account Management Analyst at Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company where he helped create optimal portfolio asset allocation models for institutional clients. Alexander holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He graduated cum laude and attained his dual Bachelors of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics at the University of California, Los Angeles. During his time at UCLA, Alexander was a member of the Simon Fellows program, an innovative subset of the Sharpe Fellows program that connects students with top investment management firms.
Hilal Yilmaz, PhD., CFA| Hilal is an Associate Portfolio Manager at Insight Investment Counsel. In this role, she contributes to equity and fixed-income research processes, conducts investment performance reporting, and performs attribution analysis for client portfolios. Additionally, Hilal is responsible for maintaining and leveraging databases and reporting systems for ongoing and new research initiatives at Insight. Prior to joining Insight Investment Counsel, Hilal held the position of tenured Associate Professor of Economics at St. Edward’s University at Austin, TX. Before that, she worked as an economics lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin. During her time at St. Edward’s University, Hilal developed and taught the Big Data, Business Analytics, and Intelligence course in the MBA program. She also instructed undergraduate students in Econometrics, Statistics, Microeconomic Principles, Macroeconomic Theory and Labor Economics at both University of Texas and St. Edward’s University. Hilal published journal articles on enhancing financial risk measurement estimator, Conditional Value at Risk (CVaR), for non-linear and singular scenarios in international academic journals. She earned her PhD in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and completed a Master’s degree in Finance. Hilal holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Bilkent University, Turkey, and is a recent recipient of CFA charter.
