Jane Wells | Jane Wells is an award-winning broadcast journalist with 40 years experience in the news media. She’s covered everything from earthquakes to riots, from the O.J. Simpson trials to Mother Teresa’s funeral, from the massacre at Columbine to the 2008 financial collapse. She has questioned CEOs about poor business decisions, posed as a prostitute for a story on AIDS, appeared in the “Seinfeld” finale, and even visited a group of professional cuddlers to see if the business was legit (it is). Kristina Hooper, CFP®, CAIA, CIMA®, ChFC® | Kristina Hooper is Chief Global Market Strategist at Invesco. In this role, she leads Invesco’s Global Market Strategy (GMS) Office, which has strategists on-the-ground in North America, Europe and Asia. Ms. Hooper and her team formulate macro views of the markets and economy, examine the investment implications of those views, and share their insights with clients and the media around the world.
Prior to joining Invesco, Ms. Hooper was the US investment strategist at Allianz Global Investors. Prior to Allianz, she held positions at PIMCO Funds, UBS (formerly PaineWebber) and MetLife. She has regularly been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The New York Times, Reuters and other financial news publications. She was featured on the cover of the January 2015 issue of Kiplinger’s magazine, and has appeared regularly on CNBC, Bloomberg TV. She joined the investment industry in 1995.
Ms. Hooper earned a BA degree, cum laude, from Wellesley College; a J.D. from Pace University School of Law, where she was a Trustees’ Merit Scholar; an MBA in finance from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business, where she was a teaching fellow in macroeconomics and organizational behavior; and a master’s degree from the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations, where she focused on labor economics.
Ms. Hooper is a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA) and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC) professional. Bob Michele, CFA | is the Chief Investment Officer and Head of the Global Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities group (GFICC). Bob is co-chair of the Asset Management Investment Committee, and a member of the Asset & Wealth Management Operating Committee and the Asset Management Operating Committee. He also chairs the GFICC Investment Strategy Committee and the GFICC Operating Committee. Bob is also co-chair of the initiative “Inclusion Starts with You” to increase the representation of women in senior investor roles. In September 2023, Bob was inducted into the Fixed Income Analysts Society Inc. (FIASI) Fixed Income Hall of Fame.
Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Bob was at Schroder Investment Management for ten years, most recently serving as the global head of fixed income in London. Previously, Bob was at BlackRock from 1995 to 1998, most recently as a Managing Director responsible for managing core bond portfolios and developing credit strategies across all client mandates. Prior to that, he was at FirstBoston Asset Management as head of their U.S. fixed income business. Bob began his career at Bankers Trust Company and Brown Brothers Harriman. He holds a B.A. in classics from the University of Pennsylvania, is a CFA Charterholder and has the Investment Management Certificate of the UK Society of Investment Professionals. Back To Top ^^
Lisa Shalett | is chief investment officer and head of the Global Investment Office for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, and a member of both the Global Investment Committee (GIC) and the Wealth Management Operating Committee.
She develops portfolio solutions that leverage the firm’s strategic and tactical asset allocation advice to meet client goals delivered through both scaled and customized solutions. Lisa leads the development of all asset allocation models, global investment due diligence and portfolio analytics, and oversees the GIC’s models and Outsourced Chief Investment Office (OCIO) mandates, which collectively have almost $200 billion in AUM. In addition, Lisa is responsible for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management's thought leadership and publishes special reports on topics of importance for practitioners and clients.
Prior to joining the firm in September 2013, Lisa served as CIO of Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management. Previously, she held senior roles at AllianceBernstein during her 18-year tenure, including chairman and CEO of Sanford C. Bernstein, LLC, and served as CIO and head of Alliance Growth Equities.
Lisa holds a dual Sc.B. degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is a Henry Crown fellow of the Aspen Institute and a founding member of the Financial Fellowship. Back To Top ^^
Dr. Edward Yardeni | Dr. Ed Yardeni is the President of Yardeni Research, Inc., a provider of global investment strategies and asset-allocation analyses and recommendations. He previously served as Chief Investment Strategist of Oak Associates, Prudential Equity Group, and Deutsche Bank’s US equities division in New York City. He was also the Chief Economist of CJ Lawrence, Prudential-Bache Securities, and EF Hutton. He taught at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business and was an economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He also held positions at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and the US Treasury Department in Washington, D.C. Dr. Ed earned his PhD in economics from Yale University in 1976, having completed his doctoral dissertation under Nobel Laureate James Tobin. Previously, he received a master’s degree in international relations from Yale. He completed his undergraduate studies magna cum laude at Cornell University. Dr. Ed is frequently quoted in the financial press, including The Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Barron’s.
