Join us for a unique Santa Barbara event. We start out at the Hill-Carrillo Adobe Community Space where we will hear from Daniel J. Phillips, CFA, Director of Asset Allocation Strategy for Northern Trust Asset Management. Get an inside look into our new capital market assumptions research. During this practical application session, learn about the key investment themes shifting the global asset allocation, risk and return landscape over the next five years – and what the future may bring for investors. After this discussion, we will hop on the Santa Barbara Trolley to tour Santa Barbara and kick off the holiday season. Great conversation, wine, beer and refreshments will be provided!
Daniel J. Phillips, CFA | Daniel J. Phillips is the director of asset allocation strategy for Northern Trust Asset Management. Daniel is a member of the Investment Policy Committee and portfolio manager for Northern Trust's Global Tactical Asset Allocation Fund. He is responsible for overseeing the firm's asset allocation process and communicating those strategies with our clients. These responsibilities include participation on the capital market assumptions working group that produces Northern Trust's Five-Year Capital Market Outlook. This white paper is published annually and provides our long-term, global forecast for economic activity and financial market returns for asset classes and economies.
As a member of Northern Trust's Investment Policy Committee, Daniel is part of a team of experts across various disciplines and geographic locales that produce long-term asset class forecasts and set strategic portfolio allocations and recommendations. As a portfolio manager for the Global Tactical Asset Allocation Fund, he is responsible for the management of a globally diversified portfolio. Daniel monitors the asset allocation framework to ensure the allocation is aligned with the firm's evolving investment views and changing market and economic conditions.
Daniel received his bachelor's degree in finance and economics from the University of Iowa and an MBA in finance, economics and international business from the University of Chicago. He is a CFA® charterholder. Back To Top ^^
