SPEAKERS

David Lau | David Lau is widely recognized as an innovator and disruptor in the financial services industry.

He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of DPL Financial Partners, a privately held financial services firm that specializes in the development and distribution of low-cost, commission-free insurance and annuity products, as well as technology-driven product discovery tools and education, for Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and individual investors. Since going to market in 2018, DPL has worked with 20 leading insurance carriers to bring a range of value-driven, no-load products to its turnkey insurance management platform for advisors, and built an advisor base of more than 10,000 advisors from more than 3,500 RIA firms.

Mr. Lau is a sought-after speaker, commentator, and adviser to financial journalists, insurance carriers, RIA firms, fintech providers and others in the financial services and fintech industries. His work has received coverage in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Barron's, CNBC, Wealth Management, and other financial media where he provides insights on industry products, players, trends, and best practices.

In his leisure time, David enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and cooking. Additionally, David is a diehard Boston Red Sox fan and an avid Duke basketball fan. Back To Top ^^

Allan Roth | Allan is the founder of Wealth Logic, LLC. He has been working in the investment world with 25 years of corporate finance. Allan has served as corporate finance officer of two multi-billion dollar companies, and consulted with many others while at McKinsey & Company.

He has been quoted in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, The New York Times and Dow Jones MarketWatch, and appeared on numerous TV and radio shows.

Allan takes pride in being mocked on a semi-regular basis by some financial professionals for his hourly fee model and its obvious inability to make him rich. He is also the author of How A Second Grader Beats Wall Street (Wiley & Sons in 2009 and 2011) and writes for AARP, Barron’s, ETF.com, Advisor Perspectives, Financial Planning Magazine and others. Allan has taught investments and behavioral finance at the University of Denver, Colorado College and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and currently teaches continuing education classes on the subject to CPAs, attorneys, and CFP® certificants. Despite the many credentials (CFP, CPA, MBA) he has earned, Allan claims he can still keep investing simple. His professional goal is to never be confused with Jim Cramer. Back To Top ^^
