PORTFOLIO Online is a series of webinars between May and July that will showcase much of the content and many of the speakers scheduled for the in-person PORTFOLIO 2020 Conference, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eric Sussman | Eric Sussman is a founding partner of Clear Capital, LLC, overseeing the firm’s capital, equity, and debt departments and strategic planning functions. Mr. Sussman provides leadership to the firm in the areas of private equity, joint ventures, and fund formations.
Mr. Sussman has over 20 years of multi-faceted real estate experience and has been pivotal in some of the firm’s largest deals and property acquisitions. Mr. Sussman’s past experience is broad and varied including key positions at Amber Capital and Sequoia Real Estate Partners. Mr. Sussman began his career with Price Waterhouse.
In addition to his position at Clear Capital, Mr. Sussman has been an Adjunct Professor with UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management since 1995 where he was voted “Outstanding Professor” 15 times by MBA students. Additionally, he has been named as one of the top ten most popular business professors by Bloomberg BusinessWeek, and one of the 20 most influential professors alive today by “Top Business Degrees.”
Mr. Sussman received a BA in Economics (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MBA (Arjay Miller Scholar) from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a licensed CPA and real estate broker (inactive) in California. He is a member of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Causeway Capital Group and a member of the Board of Directors for Bentley-Forbes, LLC and Pacific Charter School. Jan Brzeski | Jan Brzeski is the Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Arixa Capital and Crosswind Financial, which together are among California's leading private real estate lenders. Mr. Brzeski founded Arixa Capital in 2006 and has participated in more than 900 real estate transactions, ranging in value from $100,000 to over $20 million per transaction, including more than 800 transactions in co-mingled discretionary investment funds operated by Arixa or Crosswind. Prior to forming Arixa Capital, Mr. Brzeski was Vice President of Acquisitions at Standard Management Company, a private commercial real estate investment firm. Dani Evanson | Dani Evanson is a Principal of Align Finance Partners (“Align”) and Managing Director of Regis Metro Associates, Inc. (“RMA”). Together with executive management, she co-leads the firms’ strategic direction.
Ms. Evanson has over 20+ years of experience in real estate, with a background in finance, acquisitions, dispositions and portfolio management. She serves on the companies’ investment committees.
Prior to forming Align and joining RMA, Ms. Evanson served as a Real Estate Director at a Los Angeles based family office. Ms. Evanson was primarily responsible for investing and managing a $500 million real estate portfolio valued at over $2 billion consisting of investments in commercial properties, investment funds, joint ventures and real estate operating companies. Ms. Evanson also served on the advisory board for two real estate investment funds.
Dani is a licensed California CPA (inactive), CMA (inactive) and California real estate broker. Dani is a current member of the Entrepreneur’s Organization and 2018/2019 Global Student Entrepreneur Awards Chair, City of Angeles and Board Member of Abode Communities. Back To Top ^^
Neville Rhone | Neville Rhone is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Arc Capital Partners. Along with Quincy Allen, he is responsible for overall firm strategy, investments, asset management, financing and dispositions. Neville is also primarily responsible for overseeing the firm’s Texas opportunities.
Neville is a 25-year veteran of real estate development, finance and investing with over $6 billion of transaction experience. Prior to forming Arc Capital Partners, Neville was a Managing Director and investment committee member of Canyon Capital Realty Advisors (“Canyon”). At Canyon, Neville led Texas/Southeast acquisitions and invested in over $1 billion of real estate. Prior to joining Canyon, he was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley focused on real estate investing. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Neville was a senior development executive with Tishman Realty Corporation, a leading mixed-use developer and operator located in New York City.
Neville is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, Pension Real Estate Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He is also a trustee of the Marlborough School and board member of the Economic Resources Corporation.
Neville graduated from Cornell University with both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering (Civil Engineering) and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School. Neville is also an avid triathlete and marathoner. Back To Top ^^
