A CFA Society Los Angeles Women's Member Community, Los Angeles Chapter of the Financial Planning Association, and LA's 100 Women in Finance Sponsored Event
The CFA Society Los Angeles Women's Member Community, the LA Chapter of the Financial Planning Association and LA’s 100 Women in Finance have come together to offer our membership a unique opportunity to come together to hear the current state of women in the workplace across all industries with a focused look at finance from an industry research leader, McKinsey.
Deepa Mahajan will take us through the highlights of McKinsey’s research and help us discover what we can do individually to move the needle and how we can work with our employers to make bolder advances. (Copies of the research will be shared with all registered attendees ahead of the event).
McKinsey has conducted their survey for 5 years now and they say, “In the last five years, we’ve seen more women rise to the top levels of companies. Yet women continue to be underrepresented at every level. To change the numbers, companies need to focus on where the real problem is. We often talk about the 'glass ceiling' that prevents women from reaching senior leadership positions. In reality, the biggest obstacle that women face is much earlier in the pipeline, at the first step up to manager. Fixing this 'broken rung' is key to achieving parity.”
Please take just an hour on the 12th to invest in your career, the career of junior women you are mentoring, and your daughter’s career. Be the agent of change you hope all others will be.
