A Santa Barbara Group Sponsored Event
An assortment of sandwiches, salads, and drinks will be provided.
The energy industry’s downstream segment is an interesting part of the U.S. economy for investors to watch. With significant volatility in the global oil markets over the past few years, deal-making in the domestic oil/gas industry has been very active.
Strategic acquirers and private equity funds are rolling-up and consolidating assets like gas stations, fuel supply agreements, terminals, and refineries across the country. Electric vehicles, Amazon, renewables, OPEC, and the regulatory environment are just some of the variables that can alter the landscape for U.S. energy over the coming years.
Andy Weber founded Corner Capital in 2006, providing investment banking services to entrepreneurs, operating companies, financial institutions, and professional investors with a special focus on the downstream segment of the oil/gas industry.
Andy and Kevin will give you an insight into the activities, nuances, and opportunities in the downstream side of the energy value chain.
Subsequent to Shell Oil, Andy was an international consultant in Arthur D. Little’s Global Energy Practice, with principal responsibility for the downstream strategy practice. Andy most recently spent 10 years at Roundtree Capital, a private equity group in Santa Barbara with wholesale and retail assets, was a principal in the company and ultimately served as President with overall responsibilities for portfolio growth.
Andy earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and his MBA from Rice University. Back to Top ^^
Kevin Henrick is responsible for managing all firm projects including financings, restructures, mergers and acquisitions, and valuation engagements.
Prior to joining Corner Capital, Kevin worked for Avant, an online consumer lending platform. He began his career trading oil and natural gas derivatives for family offices (Nico Holdings and Ronin Capital).
Kevin holds degrees from the University of Illinois, Columbia University in the City of New York, and is attending the Executive MBA Program at University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. Back to Top ^^
