Welcome to the newest CFALA member community – ESG Investing!
The ESG Member Community is focused on discussing best practices for constructing an ESG portfolio, learning about new industry standards for ESG, considering how to engage with management, and exploring many other ways to integrate ESG investing. Interest in ESG has been growing significantly in recent years. The scope of ESG investing is vast. Our goal is to make sense of this growing component of the industry.
If you are interested in learning and contributing to the ESG Investing member community, please join us for breakfast on Friday, September 21, at 8AM for a white paper review on understanding the criticisms of ESG investing.
While most members of the ESG member community advocate for ESG investing, it is important to understand and to respond to critics of this form of investing - similar to law school students who are required to argue both sides of a case. This white paper addresses common criticisms that one hears related to ESG investing. We will discuss the nature of these criticisms, the challenges they present, and ways in which we can think about them. The white paper will be sent in advance to those who have signed up.
