This is a CFALA Women's Group Event
The Women’s Group of the CFALA Society cordially invites you to "Battle Hymn of the Working Mother", a presentation by Asha Joshi, CFA.
One of the most popular topics in the media has been about women in the workforce trying to achieve work-family balance. Can a woman have it all—a successful career while raising a family? Although women have made great strides over the years, there are still fewer women than men in executive roles and board member positions. For decades, experts have debated the causes of this inequity and asked what is achievable while raising kids and what companies have done to support women and mothers in today’s competitive workforce.
Asha Joshi, CFA has been in a continuous, successful career since 1985 when she graduated from business school. She and her husband, an accomplished scientist and professor at UCLA, have two children. Highly regarded in our industry, Asha will pass on her words of wisdom and share her life experiences with the CFALA community. Please join us on Wednesday October 24th for a topic that has been on every woman’s mind.
