Maria Izabel Ramos, Manager of Investor Relations for Petrobras (Brazil), will give an overview of the company’s businesses, new discoveries, and the market for oil products in Brazil.
Based in Brazil, Petrobras is an integrated energy company with upwards of 100 oil producing platforms, 16 refineries, 30,000 kilometers of pipelines, and 6,000 service stations. With a large offshore discovery of oil in what is referred to as the “pre-salt” region, the company is positioned to lead Brazil into the top ranks of the world’s oil producing countries. Petrobras is currently the eighth largest publicly traded company in the world with a market cap of $237 billion.
Speaker:
Maria Izabel Ramos was been working for Petrobrassince 2004 and is currently an Investor Relations Manager in the company’s New York office. Previously, Ms. Ramos was a Research Analyst with Opportunity Asset Management in Brazil. She has a Bachelors degree in economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and a Masters degree in economics from the Brazilian Institute for Capital Markets.
