CFA Society Los Angeles is pleased to present the 2018 Annual Career Development Expo and Job Fair. Currently hiring employers and recruiters will be in attendance to meet you and share their current opportunities! Our presentation portion features seasoned speakers and a panel of CFALA members at various career stages and in various fields. Each will share special insights on making the right moves at every career level.

Barbara Burtin: is an Equity Investment Analyst at Capital Group, where she has developed a strong background and expertise on the financial services industry, and has extensively researched issues and trends currently influencing the sector. She will share her industry outlook with attendees, and provide career development guidance around topics including the Future of Finance, Diversity, and Women in Finance. She is also involved in the recruitment process at Capital Group, and has been a speaker at industry events and on college campuses.
At Capital Group, Ms. Burtin maintains research responsibilities for European and Latin American banks. She has nine years of investment experience, all with Capital Group. Prior to joining Capital Group, Barbara worked in business development for Capital One Financial in the United States, France, and Italy. She also brings a variety of other international business experiences, including entrepreneurship and management consulting. She holds an MBA with honors from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in Finance from HEC Paris. Barbara is fluent in four languages, and is based in Los Angeles.

Cancellations must be received in writing by 9:00 am the day prior to the event. No phone cancellations are accepted. Please fax to the CFALA office at (213) 613-1233 or e-mail info@cfala.org. “No-shows” will be billed the difference between their online registration fee and the walk-in ("At the door") registration fee ($55) for the event which is posted on the CFALA website.
