Bill Berliner has more than 32 years of experience in the fixed income and mortgage-backed securities markets. His background includes stints in research, trading and structuring, sales, and operations. He has written prolifically on a variety of topics, and is the co-author of an award-winning book on mortgage-backed securities.

Bill was the head of Countrywide Securities’ Trade Strategies group from 2000 through mid-2008. In that capacity, he published reports and articles on topics including relative value, structuring techniques, real estate markets, prepayment behavior, credit performance and evaluation, and loan pricing methodologies. In his current position, Bill is responsible for building and enhancing MCT’s risk management and valuation platforms, and also provides consulting services to mortgage originators, financial institutions, and law firms.
