CFALA is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to serve its members. The mission of the Society is "to provide access to information, expertise and personal interaction to further members' professional development and to promote the value of the profession and the CFA designation".
Volunteers are one of the most valuable societal resources at CFALA. The society’s activities that allow us to accomplish our mission would not be possible without the continued efforts of our volunteers.
Involvement can be very rewarding for volunteers, who have an opportunity to network, to feel part of a team, opportunities to learn new things and to share knowledge with like-minded professionals.
We appreciate the time and effort required to be a CFALA volunteer. We will hold an annual social outing to thank our members for their time and effort. In addition, we will have a featured volunteer in our periodic newsletters. Not surprisingly, we also award outstanding volunteer contributors at our society’s annual meeting, recognizing those that went above and beyond.
